My name is Maz, a London-born, Portuguese-hearted entrepreneur now living in Australia.
My career over the last 25 years has seen its fair share of variety and challenges. I’ve brewed lattes in busy London cafés and balanced ledgers as an accountant in Bristol. My journey then took a turn towards tech 15 years ago, where I got my hands dirty with ERP* systems, consulting and implementing complex projects across the US, Europe, and Asia, and eventually leading a team of consultants for a major Microsoft ERP Practice in Australia. Eventually I ventured out on my own to establish my own ventures.
This mix of experiences sharpened my knack for problem-solving and gave me a deep appreciation for the intricacies of business at all levels. I’ve experienced the corporate world and its big systems, but my true calling? Bringing top-tier tech to the smaller guys, the dreamers and doers who think big on a budget.
My own small business journey led me to a game-changing discovery three years ago – Odoo. Searching for a system that wouldn’t break the bank yet could power a growing business, I found my answer in Odoo’s robust platform. It was a perfect match, offering the sophistication of big corporate systems but tailored for the needs and budgets of smaller businesses. We loved it so much, we became an Odoo Partner and started implementing it for our clients also!
Now, as part of a small but mighty team, I’m all about sharing this Odoo magic. We believe in making powerful tech solutions accessible and enjoyable for businesses of all sizes. It’s not just about deploying a system; it's about empowering entrepreneurs and businesses with the right tools to grow and flourish.
*ERP - And there I go, breaking my 'no jargon' promise already! 😂 ERP stands for Enterprise Resource Planning, which is just a fancy way of saying 'really complex systems that do a lot of stuff all at once.' Apologies for the tech speak – occupational hazard! 🤓
