Odoo has formalised a partnership with the Mindanao State University–Iligan Institute of Technology (MSU-IIT) through a memorandum of understanding, aimed at equipping students in the BS Information Systems program with essential business software skills.
According to a press release, the collaboration focuses on providing students in the College of Computer Studies, Department of Information Technology, with hands-on experience through interactive workshops and real-world case studies, setting them up for future professional success.
As part of this initiative, MSU-IIT has incorporated Odoo's comprehensive software solutions into its Enterprise Systems curriculum. Highlighting this integration, Ivan Kwok, Odoo Education Officer, recently conducted a guest lecture about the Odoo Studio app, demonstrating its no-code capabilities for custom app development. Students are eagerly anticipating a further workshop on May 7, led by Mr. Kwok, which will delve deeper into using Odoo apps for effective project management.
"I am excited to work with the school to showcase more Odoo functionality," Ivan Kwok remarked. "We are confident that our workshops will provide students with a thorough understanding of business management, fully preparing them for their future careers."
Additionally, the partnership grants MSU-IIT students and faculty free access to extensive training materials and lectures on all Odoo Online applications, supporting the educational pursuits at the institute.
